A Physical Therapy Program for
Breast Cancer Recovery

Every woman impacted by breast cancer has a unique story to share. Despite our individuality and separate experiences, we become connected through the exclusive pain and emotional challenges that result from this particular diagnosis. And therefore, survivors often develop an altered interpretation of the "self." Identity is a multi-dimensional, ever-expansive, and evolving concept of spirituality, physicality, logic, and feelings. Cancer endangers this integrated philosophy of mind, body, and spirit. Not only can it prevent us from connecting to the intimacies of our surroundings, but it can also reduce our experience to an affected body "part." It is essential that we strive to maintain wholeness. Let us invest in a new conversation that acknowledges the effects of cancer and celebrates the journey toward self-empowerment.

Full Circle Physical Therapy welcomes you to join our discussion. This peer-centered support group is specifically designed as outreach for women diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer; however, all are encouraged to participate. Counseling and psychological support services can be intimidating and formal, ours, however, offers a casual time and place to come together and connect with other women who have experienced cancer.

The group meets once a month on a Saturday, from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. For upcoming dates and/or to sign up, please call Full Circle at (516) 741-7000 or email Susan at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
